![]() ![]() It's probably why they are always perpetually broke, but at the same time it's likely partially the reason why they became a legendary Commander who is known and inherently trusted by all T-Dolls in G&K by the time of Singularity. We know that they even keep a supply of candy around for the younger dolls and FNC, and that they give an exorbitant amount of money to G36 to purchase novelty items for all the dolls on the base. Despite this, the S09 Commander seems to spoil the living crap out of his/her dolls by throwing parties where they splurge on food and taking them out for vacations. Food seems to be a possible substitute in the absence of charging stations, and it seems like the go-to procedure for T-Dolls when they are not on active duty. For example, in Deep Dive, UMP45 mentions just being plugged back in to be recharged, something that we see from M4A1 in the manga as she shoots down a scout to steal its battery in order to charge herself up. I believe it's also mentioned that T-Dolls don't really need to eat to survive. Probably doesn't taste very good, or maybe it does but you'd probably have to pay more. I would not be surprised if common combat rations simply consisted of extremely nutrient-rich food bars that could be quickly eaten in the field that provided soldiers with enough energy to fight while being compact enough to be carried by the individual soldier in bulk. Given GFL Humanity's level of technical prowess to the point that they can create living androids and a lot of other crazy stuff, some of the more experimental studies featured in the article would not be out of their means to replicate if not improve on for mass production. Here is the article about NASA's ventures into creating non-biological synthetic foods for space travel. Synthetic food can be produced from non-biological compounds like waste products and even rocket fuel according to research done by NASA to provide food for astronauts in space for longer and longer voyages. In Chapter 5N we find out that fresh food is something that is only really enjoyed by the wealthy. SVD even mentions that it's very difficult to procure real alcohol to the point that common brews like Kvass is next to impossible to find. Most of the food is likely synthetic in nature due to most of the world being destroyed by Collapse Fluid contamination rendering a lot of fertile land unsuitable for human use. ![]() This may also possibly support the interpretation that there are no duplicates of the playable T-Dolls in the game. This may be related to MP5 mentioning that all G&K T-Dolls have problematic personalities that make them difficult to handle. Specifically, Deele notes that every T-Doll has something "strange" about their Neural Cloud. This is mentioned by Deele, who is the main mechanic of 404. Every T-Doll's neural cloud is unique. While their neural cloud can still survive, the defense firewalls of the Sangvis network can completely fry a T-Doll's processors. T-Dolls that are killed in cyberspace are effectively "killed" in the real world.UMP45 does this for HK416 and G11 in order to help them adjust quickly to their EW suites. This allows them to fight more effectively by representing the digital space as a battlefield where they can physically move around and fight as if in the real world. T-Dolls who are not used to handling large amounts of data during electronic warfare can have their perception of the cyber networks altered.Following the Butterfly Incident both IOP and Sangvis Ferri introduced the Zener and OGAS Protocols respectively, allowing T-Dolls to fight in cyberspace once again. It is mentioned that a lot of the networks that would have given EW T-Dolls a powerful niche in warfare were destroyed during WWIII. Prior to the Butterfly Incident, T-Dolls equipped with EW suites were considered obsolete. ![]()
